Nathan commenced practice in a Hobart firm in 2006 and was appointed a Senior Associate in 2011. Nathan joined Wallace Wilkinson & Webster in 2011 and was made a Partner in July 2018.

Nathan appears as Counsel in the Supreme Court of Tasmania, Magistrates Court, Tasmanian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (TASCAT), Federal Court of Australia, Federal Circuit Court and other State and Federal Tribunals and judicial bodies.

Nathan acts for both Plaintiffs and Defendants, corporate clients, employees, and employers. Nathan is a panel solicitor for several insurance companies and the Motor Accidents Insurance Board. He has advised Tasmanian Councils on the Local Government Act 1993 and assisted them with general advice, prosecutions, enforcement, debt recovery and appeal work.

Nathan was an active member of the Law Society of Tasmania Litigation Committee between 2014 and 2019. He is a member of the Law Council of Australia Federal Litigation and Dispute Resolution Section, a member of the Australian Insurance Law Association, and is the Legal Officer for the Tasmanian Association of State Superannuants Inc.
