About

Kate graduated from the University of Tasmania with a combined Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Psychology/Sociology) Degree in 2008. She was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 2009 and in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2010. Since then, she has practiced exclusively in Family Law in both Perth and Hobart. Kate joined Wallace Wilkinson & Webster in April 2021.

Kate has experience in all areas of Family Law including child related and financial matters. She regularly appears in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. Kate is a qualified Independent Children’s Lawyer and was first appointed to the panel in 2015.

Kate is dedicated to the early and amicable resolution of matters and has a strong focus on mediated outcomes. In cases where the involvement of the Court is required, Kate has extensive experience in preparation of documents, representing clients at Court, and in instructing Counsel in trials.

Along with her work in private practice, Kate has undertaken volunteer legal work in the community. She is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.
