Ellie graduated from the University of Tasmania with a combined Bachelor of Arts (majoring in International Relations) and Bachelor of Laws with Honours in Law in 2019. She was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 2020. Ellie is also a Barrister and Solicitor to the High Court of Australia.

Ellie commenced her legal career with another prominent Hobart firm in 2020, wherein she acted as junior solicitor in Tasmania’s largest civil trial to date, before moving to London in 2023 to pursue her career. While in London, Ellie practiced as a contract lawyer with one of the UK’s largest law firms before commencing a role with the UK Government Legal Department within the employment team.

Ellie practices exclusively in civil litigation, with a special interest in employment law. Ellie’s exposure to various fields of practice across jurisdictions has seen Ellie working for both individuals and large corporate entities. Ellie is familiar with high-stakes litigation which attracts a public profile and works closely with clients to provide practical, commercially sensible and results driven advice.
