Alison graduated from the University of Tasmania with a combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours in Laws in 2018. She was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 2019. Alison is also a Barrister and Solicitor to the High Court of Australia.
Alison practices exclusively in civil litigation, with a special interest in workers compensation. She acts for a broad range of clients, including individual, corporate and insurer clients. Alison is experienced in having carriage of matters involving serious injury – physical, psychological and a combination of both.
Alison regularly appears in the Tasmanian Civil & Administrative Tribunal (TASCAT) and appears in both the Magistrates Court and Supreme Court. Alison has recently been involved in hearings in TASCAT and the Magistrates Court (Civil Division).
Acting for both plaintiffs and defendants / insurers, Alison has insight as to how matters are managed from ‘both sides’, being an advantage to all her clients. Alison uses this experience to identify the strengths and limitations of her clients’ case and implement an appropriate strategy to ensure the best outcome for her clients.
